Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has a broken finger on his throwing hand and could be out for up to four weeks. Romo broke his right pinkie on the first play of overtime in a 30-24 loss at Arizona on Sunday, according to a posting on the team's official Web site. The team had no immediate comment, though players responded to the news.


Tommy Bowden is out as Clemson's football coach. An athletic department official says Bowden has stepped down, with the team 3-3 and just off a 12-7 loss to Wake Forest. Bowden is in his 10th season at Clemson. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press on Monday because an announcement has not been made.

Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Big Brown's racing career is over after injuring his right front foot during a workout at Aqueduct on Monday.
